1989 Dipl.-Ing. in chemical engineering, University Erlangen-Nürnberg.

Until 1995 scientific councillor at the chair of process technology and chemical engineering, University Erlangen-Nürnberg.

1993 PhD on the topic ‘Optimisation of circular plastomer membranes for oscillating displacement pumps’.

1995 – 1997 at LEWA, Leonberg, head of R and D,

1997 3-months stay in the USA.

Until 2000 authorised signatory, head of the technical unit (design, research and development, order processing, technical basics, documentation, customer service, installation) – for LEWA.

Since 2000 full professor and fellow holding the ‘Chair of process machines and process engineering’ at the University Erlangen-Nürnberg
