CEO. Since 1995 Professor at the Graz University of Technology as well as managing director and partner of an international consulting company. 

After having studied aerospace engineering in Stuttgart, Southampton and Munich, he worked as design engineer at the German turbine manufacturer MTU München GmbH. After the accomplishment of his doctoral thesis at Stuttgart University (in 1986) he worked as head of the ‘Department of central research and development’ at the KSB AG and, from 1988 onwards, as “Directeur developpement“ (Head of development) in KSB’s German-French business unit ‘Building services engineering’. 1992 he became Director of the business unit ‘Industrial Technology’ which provided for a triple-digit million sales volume in D-marks.
